Requirements
General requirements
It is not possible to rent this residence if you have been a tenant of WFC Lofts before with a short-stay contract.
To rent this residence, you have to register in the Basisregistratie Personen (Personal Records Database) at the municipality. You'll need to apply for a housing permit in Amsterdam, because your basic rent is below €1,131.28. A housing permit (huisvestingsvergunning) is needed to be eligible to rent in Amsterdam because the demand for housing is much higher than the offer. This is how the municipality prevents housing fraud. A registration fee of €63 applies. You need to pay this amount directly to the municipality - this fee is not included in your rent. To receive the permit, you need to meet the following conditions:
- You're at least 18 years old
- You've got a Dutch nationality, a valid passport of the EU/EEA (European Economic Area), or a valid residence permit
- Your (collective) income isn't higher than €51,356 gross a year for apartments with a basic rent till €808.06
- Your (collective) annual gross income isn't higher than €64,407 for apartments with a basic rent between €808.07 and €1,131.28
- If your (collective) annual gross income is higher than €64,407, you can only rent a residence with a basic rent higher than €1,131.28
More information about the housing permit can be found on the website of the municipality of Amsterdam.
