Flea market

Drive-in movie theater

If you're in Fort Lauderdale and looking for something fun to do with the kids, the Swap Shop is a great option. This sprawling facility features a flea market as well as attractions like an up-close look at exotic cars and a drive-in movie theater. It's also home to the Thunderbird Drive-In Theater, one of the oldest in the country.

I love this place. Weekdays in summer... not a ton of outside shops. Inside are there every day. I bought all my paintings for my house here. Once the vendors get to know you, they will give you amazing prices. On the weekends, there is a fee to park, CASH for that. Used to be $2. Not sure now. It's really worth checking out!

Visiting the swap shop was a trip down memory lane for us. We enjoyed walking through the many stall, both covered and outside. There are many choices for lunch. There is ample parking. We will leave having bought several "treasures."

Fred Pineau — Google review

Swap Shop is the perfect combination of mass-produced discount grime, liminal spaces, garage sales, old neon, and a perpetually creaky carnival. From ever-churning children’s rides to farmer’s market stalls, key shops, grillz makers, ammo booths, and car window tinting companies, Swap Shop has it all.If something exists, it exists here in its most discounted, off-brand form. I’m not aware of anywhere else in South Florida where you can buy adult DVDs from a white windowless van and then pick up themed tourist mugs just a few footsteps away.On weekends, you’re treated to paid parking across the street with a bright yellow pedestrian bridge to safely usher you to the world of dust, rust, and mystery. Discounted flea market finds await at every corner. And for the empty stalls, relics of old movie promotional posters keep things entertaining.Weekdays are calmer when parking is free, allowing you to park close to the building. But there are also fewer garage sale style cars set up in the parking lot during the week.Still, whenever you visit the Swap Shop, you’ll find something interesting. There are two floors of indoor booths plus semipermanent outdoor container booths and an ever-changing lineup of cars selling their wares in the parking lot.Yes, Swap Shop is grimy. Yes, it’s got water stained ceilings. Yes, you feel like you need a long shower after coming here. But that’s honestly the charm of this place. It’s a flea market that’s unapologetic about its stance. And it’s packed with unique finds if you’re willing to look.Added bonus: Steve-O used to be a clown here before Jackass made it big.

Elizabeth Hadden — Google review

Unique place to visit ! A lot of different shops that sell almost anything you're looking for. Knives, tools, clothes, snacks, jewelry and fruits and vegetables. There's something for everyone at the swap shop. They also have some kid rides but idk if you would wanna try getting on those rides 😅

Great bargains, but just a little too dirty both inside and out.I stopped eating there. And can somebody do something about the people begging for money.

Keith Anderson — Google review

Just like it was decades ago. Only missing the elephant.Still worth a visit tho. It’s like a time capsule.I’m surprised they didn’t shoot Stranger Things here. It totally has that same mall aesthetic.

K Renee — Google review

Walked around for 3 hrs. Bathroom was pretty decent for a big crowded place. Security riding around on bikes. Gave it a five because it's a swap shop. What can be expected?!!

Rhonda rodriguez — Google review

By far the biggest flea market I've ever been to! It takes a couple hours to see it all. There's in vendors and there stand out side as well. Ppl are ready to make deals and get rid of stuff. They have a food market, clothes, jewelry, shoes, I mean everything you can imagine. I found a couple things. If I lived In Florida I'd here alot. Great flea market! It cost $4 to park.

Hollywood — Google review

I would say this Swap meet - Flea market & Thunderbird museum isn't quite worth the hype it is given. I want to point out Parking is four dollars and the lot can be tricky to get out of when leaving. I didn't see anything worth seeing. It wasn't as welcoming as I read it would have been, I recommend supporting the shops along the beach instead if your visiting Fort Lauderdale.

I have been in several Wal-Mart stores but I never encountered such bad services and disgusting bathrooms. For a store of this magnitude there should be no excuse for management to keep up these bathrooms clean for their customers.

Betty Cervantes — Google review

We did the pick up service and some items came back as unavailable at that location and were taken off the order. This would have been fine except I went in the day prior and immediately after my pick up to find the the items were there and plenty at that.Imagine walking in the store and seeing the item as a display and on the shelf.I guess someone didn’t feel like working or was looking to meet a quota.

Auto Care Center here is the worst place to any vehicle for service after asking to speak with the store manager 3 times and speaking to 2 very " Rude " women who acted as they are ...I finally spoke with the man who was the Store Manager ( Kenny ) at least I believe he was ..because he was very polite ..and I m sure those women have probably been having their abrasive and abusing ways at that Walmart Auto Care Department for a long time ...had to watch over and lock my vehicle just outside Auto Centers lot as I could not trust the employees or the ones just hanging around ..note as I was waiting due to the incompetent women in charge , a security store employee was grappling with someone just outside the said lot to Walmart...and the( women in charge) all found this and their behavior to be funny and amazing ...even after I praised said security twice for his efforts to Walmart in handling, the what appeared to be a shoplifter , just look at me as though he might be dealing with me in the same manor .... Nastiest group of Walmart Supervisors and employees you'll ever encounter! no ⭐'s really!

Gerald Ashley — Google review

Awful AWFUL service from the AUTO CARE CENTER. Could not have possibly been worse service. I highly advise you to get your car taken care of ANYWHERE else. I bought tires on the app and it says in the app to call to schedule an appointment for installation. That is the only option that is clearly available. There is no option clearly available in the app that allows you to schedule an appointment through the app. So I call only for nobody to answer the phone for hours. When someone does answer its an extremely rude employee dismissively saying “no, its first come first serve” just trying to get me off the phone clearly not trying to help at all. When I arrive the person at the counter asks me if I set an appointment and they are done for the day unless I have an appointment………. So I had to drive home on a flat tire because of the complete incompetence of the workers at this location. The employee informed me that they ignore the phones to not make customers at the counter upset. That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Completely lose the business of people trying to schedule appointments just to not upset someone who already has their business? I am never using Walmart again for anything, let alone to repair my car. Uncaring retail stores who treat their employees like disposable machines - I shouldn’t be surprised by the atrocious service. Again, take your car ANYWHERE ELSE.

Kevin Rea — Google review

Well stocked, clean and they had enough cashiers working which is wonderful. Convenient parking. Has Electrify America charging station with Hyperfast new chargers.

Laureen Biczak — Google review

Store is an absolute joke. Have to carry my child around the store because there is never enough carts and when there is, they’re all broken. A lot of the carts are full of boxes and trash from the stockers. Also find it hilarious that the door person (I won’t name to bash him) only checked my receipt and not the 6 other people that left behind me. I do not have to show you my receipt FYI. Your store has bigger issues than to be demanding receipts - if you’re going to assume one is stealing (definitely profiling) you might as well check everyone else and assume they are as well. Absolute jokeLast week had a pick up order and 15 other people sat outside WAITING with no response for hours about the order. I don’t know why I even go back.

I went quite late in the evening and there were boxes everywhere! I also parked by an entrance that wasn't open, so when I returned to my car, it was isolated and made me feel uncomfortable. The cashier also took care of an employee's purchase over customers standing in line, and they were chatting rather than getting customers through the line. I wi not be going back there after 8:00 pm.

This store is incredible. I found a whole wall of organic produce and hard to find vegetarian items on that wall with all the super fresh produce reasonably priced. And non organic produce as well, big section. Regular eggs under $3. Many choices and brands of everything. Friendly cashiers. Clean restrooms. Huge parking lot. Wheelchair accessible entrance, parking. Cold air-conditioning.I was not looking for clothing or cleaning items or electronics but it's all there. First enjoyable food shopping experience in many years.

Asked associate a question about a missing price tag. She stopped what she was doing and assisted me. Very pleasant and helpful. I was in and out of the supermarket fast

3 cashiers for almost 100 people is not business like. The self checkout is for 20 or less items. We get that but if you would prefer a small transaction quick over a quick large transaction then shut down and open a 7 eleven. No one enjoys walking around the store for an hour then waiting in line for another hour. Get it together Corporate because this Walmart is not what you made it to be.

C Sr — Google review

I went today at the Auto Care Center at 12:00 requesting 4 new tires for my car. I was told by the lady who assisted me that the waiting time was between 3-4 hours… what…??? Ok.. I agree. My daughter picked me up and we went for lunch… after 3, I started calling every half hour with no response… Nobody answered the freaking phone. By 5:30 I told my daughter to go back, hoping my car was done….🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ Not at all, my car was at the same spot ( in the middle of the parking lot…) but no one noticed… she went to the workers to ask what happened… no one could said what happened… the lady got disrespectful when my son asked her what happened…!!! Too bad the customer is so unprofessional. Had so many things to do and could not do anything… wasted my time for some irresponsable workers…. You have to stay there and bother them if you don’t see any movement on your car…. Like little kids 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

The supermarket has many fresh products, updated daily, cheap prices, but on weekends you have to queue for a long time, so you should go on the first day of the week and you will be comfortable.

Walmart in the USA is a retail giant that has left an indelible mark on the American consumer landscape. With its ubiquitous presence and vast array of products, Walmart has become a one-stop shop for millions of Americans seeking convenience and affordability. One of Walmart's key strengths is its commitment to providing low prices. The company's everyday low price (EDLP) strategy has resonated with budget-conscious consumers, making Walmart a go-to destination for essential goods. This pricing strategy, coupled with the retailer's extensive network of stores, has contributed to its dominance in the market.Walmart's extensive product range spans from groceries and household items to electronics and clothing. The supercenter format, combining a grocery store with a department store, has proven successful in meeting diverse consumer needs under one roof. This approach has not only attracted a wide customer base but has also led to increased customer loyalty. The retail giant has also embraced e-commerce to stay competitive in the digital age. Walmart's online platform provides customers with the convenience of shopping from home, with options for in-store pickup and fast delivery. The integration of technology and the expansion of its online presence have allowed Walmart to adapt to changing consumer preferences. However, Walmart has faced criticism over the years. Labor practices, concerns about the impact on local businesses, and environmental sustainability are areas where the company has been scrutinized. Balancing growth and responsibility remains a challenge for this retail giant. In conclusion, Walmart in the USA is a retail powerhouse that has redefined the shopping experience for millions. Its commitment to low prices and a diverse product range has made it an integral part of American retail culture. Despite challenges, Walmart continues to evolve, leveraging technology and e-commerce to maintain its position as a retail leader.

The auto care service and the employees were horrible. I had an appointment at 8am to change the tires on my vehicle that I purchased online 2 weeks prior. They haven't taken my car in for 3 hours while letting people for other services ahead of me. One of the mechanics, Christopher had rude comments, lady at the counter barely replied to hi to me not to mention answering any questions or phone calls because she was on her phone. They were all acting like they were doing me a favor. I felt discriminated at that location. Thanks to the integrity of the staff I lost my doctors appointment and have to take another day from work. I reached out to customer service, spoke to a rep and she said someone from the upper store management will reach out to me. Noone has called me since. I guess the way the employees treat customers reflect how the upper management cares for the customers. I will never go back to this location.....

Micheal that works in pharmacy was very rude along with another lady that was Hispanic was very rude, me and my mother in law approached asking if she could purchase prescription glasses at pharmacy the lady never said anything and acted like she didn't hear what we ask, then the phone rang and she started talking full conversation to someone on the phone but we had already asked her before phone call, so I was asking again and the lady saids wait I'm on the phone but we were there first as she knew. So this guy Michael comes screaming at the top of his voice I will take you over here can't you see she is on the phone, so I tried explaining but verbally Michael was very rude, and sarcastically said you want my last name too when I requested his name to write this rating. People are so very rude now days and unprofessional concerning elderly and handicapped. Probably nothing will be done, but it's worth writing to let the world see the disrespect at Walmart Supercenter on Broward Blvd!!!!!!!!!!!

She refused to help me period!!! I only refilled my gallon water jug and told her they didn’t have the option on the screen at checkout. As much as I come here to get water other cashiers would go get the coupon code to ring it up. She said, “we don’t do water refills” there was another guy with 15 jugs refilling water. I said ma’am I come here and refill my jugs often they always scan a code and she said I can’t leave from over here to get anything go get in the checkout line. Really?? On a Black Friday in a line longer than the wrinkles on her face you want me to wait all day for one jug??

This country is going to hell! Every day there is worse customer service and less respect for the consumer everywhere. I just left Walmart which is located at 2500 W Broward Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312 and I have received terrible customer service at that location. I arrived to buy some men's colognes, which are locked up. I asked three people who work in that department and the three women answered me almost the same way, "I don't know who has the key". Aren't they employees at that place and should at least know how to guide me, help me, or at least direct me to the right person in charge? Or stop what they are doing for a second and try to solve my problem? No, quite the opposite, none of the three cared about my interest in purchasing the product. At the end, I ended up leaving that place and convinced that from now forward, I prefer to buy my colognes on Amazon, and I'll never expect to have to deal with Walmart ever again. Walmart has the worst customer service in the world. And every day we see more of this type of behavior throughout the nation. This beautiful country is no longer what it once was, and I say that with pain in my soul because God knows how much I love my country.

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts is an important Fort Lauderdale performance venue that features a wide selection of live music, operas, plays, and more. It is also well known for its education programs and services that support the arts in the community. The theater is located in downtown Fort Lauderdale and has been praised by many as one of the best places to see live entertainment in town.

No bad seats, all have a good view with good acoustics. Bathrooms kept clean. Valet parking is $30, but it's literally outside the theater and they are efficient and courteous. 99% of everyone who worked there was incredibly friendly and helpful (except for the bag checkers who yelled at us for not letting them check our bags. Plot twist we didn't have bags. Also the wand dude touched me directly which I'm pretty sure you're just supposed to hover?)

I recently had the pleasure of attending the Miami City Ballet's Nutcracker performance at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, and it was an enchanting experience from beginning to end! The venue itself is stunning, with its grand architecture and elegant ambiance setting the perfect stage for such a classic ballet. One of the highlights of my visit was the ease of parking. Not only is parking available onsite, but it's also reasonably priced, making it convenient for attendees. The staff at the Broward Center were incredibly helpful and courteous, ensuring that everyone felt welcomed and comfortable throughout the evening. While the performance itself was mesmerizing, it's worth noting that filming is not allowed inside the venue. While this may disappoint some, it actually enhances the overall experience, allowing everyone to fully immerse themselves in the magic of the ballet without distractions.Overall, attending the Miami City Ballet's Nutcracker performance at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts was a magical experience that I won't soon forget. From the stunning location to the helpful staff, it was truly a night to remember. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable evening of ballet in the heart of Miami.

Great theater, clean, and not super cold like everything in Miami. We saw Beetlejuice the musical and it was great! Super fun, and funny! As a juice fan since I first saw the movie growing up and watched the cartoon a lot, it was an amazing nostalgic experience.

I attended a sold-out, Beres Hammond concert, Sun., Aug. 27, 2023. This was not a first visit to this lovely venue, but, it was a first being assisted in a wheelchair. We ended up parking on the rooftop. There were elevators and handicapped parking available. Read the signage, that states disabled parking does not entitle you to free parking. Certain restrictions do apply. What was great is the venue's covered and air conditioned walkover, and elevators that put you there in the lobby area. The staff attendants were professional and friendly, and I was escorted to be shown a more accessible manner to reach my designated seat. Due to the festive crowd, standing and dancing, I and those on the row (Y) could not see the stage at all. There were no attendants directing the crowd to be seated during the performance, as at other venues. In fact patrons were allowed to stand near the east and west lower rows the entire performance in which would have been more ideal for those in wheelchairs to see. All I could do was to look at the screens of those videotaping to see what was happening on stage. Once the performer exited the stage for a break, the crowd sat down, leaving the stage visible for a few moments. Maybe adding some drop down screens would be great to help with viewing. Restrooms were plentiful and conveniently located, spacious, and clean. The audio/sound system was great in the facility, and was extended through the restrooms so you missed nothing. Overall, it is a beautiful venue. I would suggest leaving earlier to offset delays with parking in the garage, and just enjoy the beautiful grounds until showtime.

The place is beautiful. I went to go see Chicago and it was a great show. The food was good too. I got the popcorn mix, pretzel and a cookie. I wanted to try the turkey sandwich which is served hot and looks good but it's literally meat and bread. They do have condiments to put what you like on your sandwich. The Broward Center for the Performing Arts stands as the ultimate entertainment destination in South Florida. Nestled alongside the picturesque New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale, this premier performing arts venue plays host to an eclectic array of Broadway musicals, operas, ballets, concerts, plays, diverse cultural showcases, enlightening lectures, engaging workshops, and enriching educational events. I really wanted to give it 5 stars! What a beautiful venue, we have been here a couple of times, and this theater never fails to impress the details in everything, the design the service the convenient of everything being close by and organized we love ❤️ coming here.We saw Annie, and I think this is our 3rd time seeing it 😆 and it was awesome as usual 👏 the only downside is this time I decided to buy the box seats for more privacy for my daughters but the view was super bad 👎 we could not see much I do not recommend now keep in mind this was the 2nd highest balcony box so I'm not sure about the view from the lower balconies.I have a decent menu for food and a full bar. I recommend you go to the 2nd level there. You will find couches and tables, unlike the first floor, where they only have high tables, no seats. But over great experience beside the seating arrangement.FYI, the valet was $30

We had not been to the Au Rene venue before but it was a very positive experience when we went there tonight to see Jackson Browne in concert. The staff was courteous, there were short lines at the concessions, the seats were a little bit steep... But we had seats in the top of the balcony and we could see the concert just fine. The sound was great... It seems like the auditorium has good acoustics.

This fun and educational science museum has exhibits for all ages, including a giant IMAX theater. There are also exhibits on ecology, space exploration, aviation and more.

A fantastic interactive to go with the kids. Tickets are $27 for adults and $22 for kids above the age of 2. Do get your reservation for the discovery spot. They get sold out and kids love this interactive area. You will also see alligators, turtles, python, fish and oters. They have two simulator on the second floor a toy ride and rover recommend both. In addition they run movies in their IMAX.

This museum is lovely for children under twelve and over age one year old. This is a children's museum for children and their parents who are there to supervise them. I paid for my ticket online before the doors opened for visitors. The best experience was the weather/news caster exhibit, otter living exhibit, the movie theater I watched a documentary that was included in my entrance ticket and one or two other exhibits. I did not visit the cafe or gift shop on site. As an adult this was very underwhelming for me.There's several outdoor spots for families to have lunch. I decided to go across the street to the beautiful open park. I sat under the pillars near the water fountain display and that gave me some vitamin d and a wonderful view of boats on the lake, people walking by and beautiful sky. I saw the taxi boats that tourists can pay to ride to different locations and restaurants. I will try when I visit fort Lauderdale again. There were public statues to take pics at, water fountains and restrooms. I didn't get the name of the park but it is directly across the street from this museum and made a great place to eat lunch and think about my next place to visit.

We had the best time here! Went with 3 kids, ages 4-6, and easily spent 4 hours here without getting bored. We only left because parking was running out and it was getting late and we had to get back to Miami. Between the kids room at the beginning, the Everglades animals and otters, and the flight simulators our kids had a blast! We had a great time. Not a lot of food options so that could improve, but overall a great way to spend a day in South Florida.

It's an ideal place for small kids. I made the mistake of creating high expectations based on my prior museum experience in cities like DC or New York, but to be fair it is a pretty good museum. I would have preferred if it had more space because the exhibits seem jumbled together. It has exhibitions pertaining to wildlife, dinosaurs, renewable energy, health, aviation and the sort. They have a cafe and a gift shop outside. I would not pay $24 again for it, that's for sure, but it serves its purpose.

Its a nice museum for young kids (2-10) with at-least 2-3hrs of entertainment not including the free i-max video (+45mins). So plan to pay for 3-4hrs of parking. It has 2 floors with activities and exhibits separated by areas. It also has a nice outdoor area with different activities. Less then 100$ for a family of 4. The exhibits are a big old and quite a few broken but the kids (especially my 4yr old) loved it and didn’t want to leave. Overall worth the visit of you are in the area.

The Saturday we visited, it looked like it was undergoing renovations and had a very small crowd. Surprisingly, even the famous outdoor clock in the patio was not working. We have enjoyed going here since this place was built. (First with my son and now with my 16 month old grandson.) It has been many years between the last visit to now. Based on what it used to be in its heyday, many if not all of the permanent exhibits desperately need a re-fresh. Several were not working and/or had missing parts. Staff was scarce and the few that were there looked overwhelmed trying to keep up with everything. A positive was that the animals in the exhibits were well cared for. It is shame the interest (or funding) isn't there to restore this treasure to the once thriving place it used to be.

We had a blast. This museum offers a variety of activities for all ages. Also, you have access to IMAX documentaries available until 3:00pm. Don’t forget to choose your documentary at the time of purchasing your ticket.

My 9 year old had fun with the aviation exhibit. He even got a private science demonstration.I'd give this place a 5 star review if more of the exhibits were working. I'd estimate that 20-30% of the exhibits were either out of service, missing parts, not fully functioning (lights burnt out etc) or damaged. For the price we paid, I was a little disappointed.

Jer Green (Greener) — Google review

Really cool and amazing place for the entire family! We all had a blast! The amount of activities and interesting information they have available is extensive. We went within the last 2 hours on Sunday and they stamped our receipt so we could return for free in the next 30 days. Definitely recommend the trip. Amazing experience with aerodynamics, dinosaur models, human physiology, and real animal exhibits.

I have seen many otters, but the pair of otters here are incredibly interactive ! There is also this sweet turtle that is incredibly responsive to humans in the ecological portion of the museum. I loved the displays given by Florida Power Light. My husband and I didn't have any time to see the 4D shows, but we did finish most of the exhibit quickly as we didn't have our kids. The museum is truly designed with kids in mind, and with that being said I can't wait to bring mine!

Tasha Lynn — Google review

Great for kids to enjoy and learn in general. Parking is about $2.5 per hour, right next to the building. They have sections for younger kids, that was a plus. We also enjoy learning about the animals. Overall is a awesome place for kids.

Love this museum! We had such a good time we wound up going back the next day😄. It’s great for adults and kids alike, it’s informative, interactive, and overall a lot of fun. I personally like taking my time when I go to museums, so I would say it took us about 3-4 hours to look through everything, but it’s really worth it. They had fun simulations like a mars adventure and a roller coaster. Kids love it here! The customer service was also great, everyone was professional and friendly. Definitely recommend!

Great interactive museum for kids of all ages. This is a two story complex with an attached imax theater. In our visit, several exhibits were closed, so make sure to check the website in case there was something you were hoping to do.A nice plus to this museum is that the two motion simulators were free and no additional cost like some other museums.Overall, it was a good place to spend about three hours of fun, including one of the documentary imax shows.

We are members and absolutely LOVE this place! There is a rotating exhibit on the second floor, which means something new to explore. The price also includes a movie, which is nice because you can probably get through the whole museum in a few hours, so it’s an added activity for older kids. There is an also a pizza restaurant across the street so if you go at 10, you can get lunch there after and it’s really good! If you see 2 screaming kids and a mom ready to lose her marbles, that’s me ;) enjoy!!

Jessica Johnson — Google review

We had an absolutely amazing experience. We went with our 3.5 yr old and 22 months old. They both loved it and were able to find new things to explore. There is a parking lot right across the street so you can pay for parking and cross the street. We loved all the different activities and the sprouting stem room is excellent for younger kids (there’s a diaper change station with wipes and tons of toys in the room). There was also a story time for the kids.We really enjoyed the play session especially with the water experiments and outdoors . It’s also amazing that it includes imax tickets. We watched the Blue Whale and it was wonderful. Everyone was so helpful and kind.

Esplanade Park is a beautiful waterfront garden and glass pavilion in downtown Fort Lauderdale that is popular for events like the Winterfest boat parade, Stone Crab & Seafood Fest, or Smoke on the Water BBQ Fest.

Have seen several events lately Flofest and Ignite, Jazz fest tomorrow, 1st Sunday of each month. I love living by Riverwalk.

I strolled through this beautiful park in the heart of Fort Lauderdale right along New River. The spring day brought out bright colors against a blue sky. They had some war memorials and an amphitheater. Boats came and went from docks on the river edge. I continued my explore up North River Walk which connected with other parks and historic sites.

This is a very good location for fun in the park. Water views, restrooms, activities and a stage for live performers. There is ample covered parking in the garage across the street and a children's museum also across the street. There was a good time had by all with lots of space for vendors, outdoor seating available or bring your own for the lawn.

Always looking out for their events. They are great at taking any opportunity to celebrate anything really. Feels inclusive and is a chance to support the community and to come together. Please never stop. Was there last for Day of the Dead, it was fantastic, ran too long for our little one, but we enjoyed it and the cultural exposure simply fantastic, and the water taxi free ride; was everything!!!!

The Wharf is an immersive, entertainment complex located in downtown Fort Lauderdale that features live music and drinks from four themed bars. There are also five restaurant pop-ups on-site with barbeque specialties, gourmet pizzas, tacos, sandwiches, and ice cream.

Food here was okay. As a first time visitor I expected them to have more food selections but overall pretty good spot to visit with friends or family. The circus was there and they were pretty entertaining and funny.

The pristine cleanliness of the venue and the warm hospitality of the staff enhance the overall ambiance, creating an inviting atmosphere for friends to gather and enjoy.**Dining and Entertainment:**Venturing to the bar, we indulged in refreshing Long Island Iced Teas, expertly crafted and satisfyingly potent. As an added bonus, the Thursday promotion of receiving a complimentary pizza with every $15 spent proved to be a welcomed treat, adding value to our evening of enjoyment.**Overall Impressions:**Our visit to the outdoor pop-up event space on Las Olas was nothing short of delightful. With its scenic location, impeccable cleanliness, friendly staff, and enticing offerings, it succeeded in delivering an enjoyable and immersive experience. While there is always room for improvement, particularly in expanding the culinary options, our overall impression was highly favorable, warranting a commendable four-star rating.

We were here a few weeks ago with a friend we hadn't seen in a while and wanted to catch up on things. It was a beautiful sunny day, and we all wanted to be outdoors. The Wharf is perfect for that being right by the New River. The ambiance was energizing, good music (house, hip hop, Top 40, Latin), and a great crowd. There are many food booths and the food is delicious. You can't go wrong with any of it. There's pizza, hamburgers, sushi, sandwiches, and dessert. The servers are really friendly and attentive. We sat at the bar, had lunch and drinks, and looked out on the crowd.Lots of places to sit or stand and mix. You can dance or not. Do your thing. It's casual, trendy, and a lot of fun. It's esthetically more appealing than Miami's Wharf. Both are great places to go to, though. It's in the Las Olas area near the Art Museum by the water. Have fun!

The Wharf in downtown Fort Lauderdale is pretty fun. My spouse and one of my cousins went out on Cinco De Mayo night, so it was May 5, 2023. The venue was packed with a lot of people. The only downside is parking is not free, so had to park nearby for $15 + tax. The walk over was great as we got to see the railroad tracks, other businesses and the statue outside of The Wharf. Food was good, and the Don Quixote co*cktail was also great. With it being Cinco De Mayo night, the specialty was buying one tequila shot and having a free Corona beer.Plenty of high tables, tables and chairs to sit at. About four food trucks were there as part of the venue. Would definitely visit again for another special event celebration. Plenty of people talking, laughing, some singing and dancing.

Fun visit - different vibe than most Fort Lauderdale spots! Good for group hang outs-- prices are good! Was there for a birtday party--good choice! Close to downtown and Las Olas, its on the New River-- but they don't really use river as a backdrop??

Was not really impressed with this spot, sadly. In terms of just having a chill spot to kick it back with some friends and family, this spot definitely meets that requirement. The decor for the holidays is also quite nice and is really picture perfect, but it fails on pretty much every other front. The food vendors are all insanely overpriced, serve very mediocre food, and lack any quality. The most absurd was the taco vendor that sells 3 tiny tacos with some rice and beans for well over $22 dollars with all the fees that come along with the mobile ordering system that they recently added. None of the other food that I tried here is really worth it either considering the other options in the surrounding area. I did enjoy some of the holiday drinks that they have now, but they're also very overpriced, watered down, and served in very small cups (that are filled to the top with ice). The music is very early 2010s as well if you enjoy that. I'm curious to come back during a special event to see if it's any better.

The loud music, high energy and funny blow ups attracted us to giving the Wharf a try. It was a 90’s theme going on and we had a blast! Enjoyed the $5 Tito’s for happy hour and loved the great vibe happening! There were lots of bars, food wagons and games! Fun place! Probably a lot crazier later!

Must visit in at trip to Fort Lauderdale! Great for all groups! There were families with small children to bachelorette parties. Great staff with to clean up empty cups and help guests find seating and extra chairs. Great vibes and never a line for the ladies room. Staff are all gorgeous and friendly. Lines not too long (we were there at 6/7) . Beautiful spot in Riverfront. Great selection of food vendors. Music was bumping and I kept chair dancing at almost every song.

Nice atmosphere, great views! They offer valet for $15, most surrounding garages charge by the hour, this place can be very crowded on Friday nights(weekends) , the vibe was more of young college students, the DJ was DJ’n great mix of music 90s/2000s, which is what made me stay longer, Drinks are overpriced and I didn’t really get a buzz, the food prices (I tried the taco food truck) doesn’t add up to the quality and quantity, eat before you come!

The Parker Playhouse is a 1,167-seat theater located in Fort Lauderdale and dedicated to the performing arts. The theater hosts Broadway plays, live music, dance, comedy & more. It is a fixture of the Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District and offers visitors education alongside entertainment. The theater has been in operation for over 45 years and is known for its love of the performing arts.

This place is great! Hubby and I visited last night for Kenny G's concert, and really had a great time. (If you all haven't been to a Kenny G concert, you need to go!) The playhouse was nicely decorated and clean, and had a concession stand to buy drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and/or snacks. It's a smaller venue, so it has a nice, intimate feeling as opposed to a large arena's ambiance. From where I was sitting (row Y), it appeared that there were no "bad" seats in the house. The rows' walkways are large enough that when people walk past you to get to their seat, you don't have to stand up to let them pass. Also, the odd-numbered seats are located on the left side of the theater while the even-numbered seats are located on the right side. For this event, the parking options were valet (for a charge) or complimentary self-parking. We opted for the self-parking, and there were plenty of staff to direct us to our spot. The parking lot is not paved (it's grass), so plan your visit accordingly, but it's super close to the venue.Overall, this is a fantastic venue. The staff are friendly, the parking is easy to navigate, there's not a bad seat in the house, the bathrooms are clean, and the building itself is nicely updated.

Really great venue. Beautifully renovated. First theater I've been to with comfortable seats including arm rests that are high enough for human use.Unfortunately it's a grass parking lot for big events.Great bar tenders mixing drinks to order on the spot.

The Parker is an historic and iconic venue for Broward County and the City of Fort Lauderdale. I have been to many performances here and always enjoy coming back. The shows that are put on here are always done exceptionally well with profound mastery of audio engineering and lighting arrangements. The venue is sizable but no matter your seat, the show will almost certainly feel like an intimate experience. The venue was renovated in the past few years and has modern fixtures in the restrooms, security screening, and digital tap to pay technologies. Seating is also very comfortable with large clearances in each row that make passing by easier than in many other venues.♿️ The venue is fully ADA/wheelchair accessible🅿️ Free lot parking is available as well as valet➡️ Know Before You Go: Seating in the auditorium hall are not in numerical order. All even-numbered seats are situated on the right hand side and all odd-numbered seats are to the left. This dictates from which side of the theater you enter on. For example, if you’re looking to have two seats together on the left side of the hall, your seats would be numbers 17 and 19.

First time at The Parker was this past Friday for Madeline Peyroux. What a lovely venue and space! Lobby is welcoming and bright, restrooms were spacious and clean, and seats where very comfortable. My only gripe is that if you're sitting stage center, you're in for some maneuvering if you have to leave your seat during the middle of a performance. There's enough space between rows that it's not so bad, but just something to keep in mind if you're someone (or are going with someone) who needs to exit their seat during an event. With that being said, there didn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. Valet parking is available, although pricey, but if it's raining or might rain, it's worth it since the self parking area is all grass. I would hope there's a plan to pave or gravel that at least to help with drainage should there be rain during an event. Concessions are light, also a little pricey, but that's to be expected. Overall a great space for theater, live music, etc.

After many years I finally made it to a show at the Parker. This theater rivals anything else on the planet of it's size after it's thirty million dollar renovation. Customer service was impeccable, bar and food service was fast and affordable, The main room was nearly perfect acoustically and there really isn't a bad seat in the theater. We saw Weird Al and Emo Phillips there and it was a great show.

Went to The Parker/Lillian S. Wells Hall for the Switchfoot "The Beautiful Letdown 20th Anniversary" Tour back in early Oct. 2023. This is a really fancy venue as it was just recently renovated in 2022. Everything is really clean, and the employees are courteous and dress well for all types of concert occasions. I like almost no matter where the seat is you get a good view of the stage. Switchfoot/Jon is super chill so he went out into the audience seats and was able to greet audience members in the seats during the concert.

Tommey Liang — Google review

Really love the renovations! Comfortable seats with wider space between rows, making it much easier for folks to scoot by. They kept a lot of the venue’s original details (specifically the intricate ceilings) in the areas just outside the auditorium, though the main entrance lobby has been redone with theming to still match. There are more bathrooms which is much welcomed to reduce lines during intermission.Easy free on site grass parking and optional paid valet (parks on grass too) as well. Nice bars and small snacks. All the employees were super kind.Lovely intimate theater and the new updates have made it even better while still respecting the former designs.

Great, beautiful place. I went to see a lovely Cinderella inspired play. My first ballet! I was super excited. I had several favorite acts. I used public transportation to get to this establishment. There were no directions as to what to do once I got inside the venue. The Parker mandates either proof of the vaccination card or covid testing negative results. On my confirmation email it says the show would start on time and doors would close before the curtains opens up. That was inaccurate. The play took forever to start for example, it was 15 minutes late to begin plus they kept allowing people in even after the ballet has started. That is unacceptable in my opinion. If I knew I could pay 20 dollars for a picture with my favorite ballet dancers I would have been prepared. There were no information to let guest know that this was even an option. Makes no sense. There's plenty of parking and enough restroom stalls for attendees. There was one break for drinks and restroom time. Great show but needs better protocols for the attendees.

Tia Seeall — Google review

The process to park (free parking) and to enter the venue is quick and easy. The pictures attached are from my seat pretty much in the back, Orchestra Row W Seats 5&7, as you can see it is not a big venue so therefore there aren't really any bad seats. The acoustics/sound are pretty good and the seats are spaced in such a manner that you do not have to stand up every time someone gets up and is exiting the row (which happens a lot). Overall very good place and you can buy tickets directly from the Parker house and safe on all of the fee's charged by resellers.

First time here and we love this venue! We attended a Mavericks show last Saturday. Although it's difficult to not have a fantastic time at a Mavericks show, we were highly impressed with this beautiful music theater built in the 1960s. An usher told us that it recently went through a renovation. We were very happy with the large amount of space between rows. Coming from New England and spending a lot of time in historic theaters, we found this to be a welcome change. Ushers were very helpful and professional. My husband has tinnitus (ringing in ears made worse by very loud music), so was pleased to discover that they sold earplugs at the bar for a couple dollars.Parking was very convenient. We found a quick back door exit when leaving after the show so that we didn't have to wait in traffic.

The Life and Music of George Michael Show I saw here last night was absolutely first rate! The theatre was gorgeous, seats were comfortable, staff & security was plentiful & parking was free & relatively easy. They also offer a full bar with light snacks… But the show… fantastic! Two different singers gave excellent renditions of his storied 40 years of work, the audience was on their feet! The sound system was well-tuned & loud enough but not overwhelming, lighting was electric (literally 😉) & overall it was an amazing experience by skilled musicians. The guitarists & back up singer added everything to make it an exceptional performance!! I see this was the last night of the show but if something else plays there that catches your eye, I wouldn’t hesitate! 🥰

There is an option to pay a certain fee, and the fee includes all you can eat appetizers and all beverages are free, except for top shelf items, and they are at a discount. The music sounds perfect in the venue, and they have comfortable seating. A top place to visit and see the concerts and shows they have there. A great experience!

My three friends and I got tickets to a symphony series that is playing, in part, at The Parker. It's a very beautiful playhouse, and we are enjoying, even relishing, the experience. It's been culturally engaging, educational, and thrilling to experience the symphony in such a perfect space. It's an amazingly skilled orchestra with such a good conductor, and we appreciate so much having the music explained in a relatable way before it is performed. It truly enhances the experience. The staff and volunteers at The Parker (with rare exception) are friendly, solicitous, and helpful. It is clear in their smiles and in speaking with them that they want each attendee to feel welcome and to have the best possible experience.

I highly recommend this upgrade no matter what the cost! Amazing!! The lovely Ladies that greet you and scan your ticket are informative and welcoming. A wrist band is placed on your wrist and you are able to enjoy the lounge for one hour before the performance and during intermission! The lounge is down 6 steps and has private restrooms. Relaxing colors and comfy seating sets the stage for a wonderful VIP experience!A small but delicious cold and hot buffet is available.. our choices were: individual shrimp co*cktail, crudités, cheese and cracker display,Swedish meatballs, cheesy flatbread, couscous! A dessert buffet, coffee, a variety of cookies, the makings of s’mores.. including a delicious shortbread/chocolate scones! Then there is a full bar with our amazing bartender, Scott! He suggested an Amaretto sour! Let me try a small taste and if I didn’t like it he would make me a different drink! I loved it! I’ve never had one before but love amaretto! He was personable and very accommodating! Everything was delicious and the hot plates were constantly being refreshed! The young lady attending the buffet was also friendly, attentive and professional! Totally a great value for a very VIP experience! The lobby and foyers are beautiful and easy to navigate! Signage is clear! You know exactly where you need to enter the Theatre.. Seating is continuous, no break or center aisle. The seats are comfortable but very small. The acoustics are excellent and truly not a bad seat in the house. The foyer has a giant screen tv and great speakers so you won’t miss a minute if you have to leave to use the restroom. The entire experience was wonderful! (Dave Mason was amazing! His voice is on point! Unbelievable! Sounds like he did in the 70’s at The Lonestar Cafe in NYC! I’ve seen him over 60 times in 5 different States! since the 70’s! Truly my number one favorite of all time!) The ushers are friendly, professional and knowledgeable! If they are all volunteers you have trained them well!Congratulations and thank you for creating a spectacular venue with a 5 Star Experience! I look forward to returning!

The Parker is an absolutely beautiful theater. The acoustics are great. The staff is wonderful, particularly a guy named Terry. We had no idea whether he was an usher or head of the theater. He seemed to know a lot about everything and treated us with kindness, respect and good humor. The performer we saw, Daniel O'Donnell, was amazing. He has a beautiful voice. He sings; he dances; he weaves a good tale. Whatever genre of music you prefer, he probably does some songs you know and like. He's a kind, loving human being. Seeing him in this spectacular venue (the Parker) made the night magical. I'll definitely return to this lovely theater.
